For Yamaha Motor Europe N.V.(YME), located at Schiphol-Rijk in the Netherlands, we are looking for a Business Intelligence Coordinator in our Powered-Two Wheelers (PTW) Division.
About the role:
The BI Coordinator supports PTW’s business growth by analyzing and visualizing complex data to generate high-quality, stakeholder-focused reports. This role is responsible for maintaining systems that enable PTW departments and distributors to align their operations with core commercial priorities and strategic objectives. The BI Coordinator supports mid- to long-term business objectives and BI-related initiatives by improving the accessibility, quality, and consistency of business-related data at global, Pan-European, and local levels, translating agreed priorities into practical actions, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure steady progress.
Your responsibilities:
Data Analytics & Reporting
• Gather business requirements from the PTW division to drive process and system enhancements.
• Perform detailed data analysis to support daily operations and strategic planning events.
• Create business reports by aggregating data from diverse platforms, including Cognos, Pyramid, Oxford Economics, and Salesforce.
• Provide ad-hoc data analysis, visualization, and reporting support to management, PTW team members, and other cross-functional division.
• Serve as Data Steward to maintain high data quality and identify opportunities for database improvements.
• Liaise with operational teams to address system challenges across platforms like AS400, TM1, and SAP.
Stakeholder Management & Market Knowledge
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to better understand daily operational and system needs.
• Develop expertise in system interdependencies to ensure smooth data flow and interface management across the organization.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of PTW products, competitor products, distributor structures, and market trends to ensure data quality and provide accurate business interpretation of data.
• Synthesize operational insights from both central headquarters and local distribution channels.
• Facilitate feedback sessions to translate departmental challenges into technical requirements for future projects.
Strategic Support & BI Coordination
• Coordinate BI objective rollouts and support the delivery of mid-to-long-term strategic goals for the Power Two Wheeler (PTW) division.
• Act as the primary BI liaison for key stakeholders, providing data-driven inputs to achieve customer-centric KPIs.
• Support business transformation and process improvement projects in collaboration with project owner and task force members.
• Conduct initial project assessments to help build business cases for the IT roadmap and digitalization initiatives.
What do you bring?
• Experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a related discipline, with proven ability to gather, interpret, and communicate data insights effectively.
• University degree, preferably in Business management, Business economics or a related discipline;
• Strong analytical skills with system knowledge, must have exposure to analytical tools such as Power BI or similar platforms;
• Excellent knowledge in MS Office, with advanced command of Excel;
• Strong interpersonal and communicational skills, with a proven ability to interact effectively with key business stakeholders;
• Prior experience working with an International Corporate Environment;
• Fluency in English is required, proficiency in an additional European language is highly preferred;
• Previous experience with Salesforce and/or SAP is considered a significant plus.
