For Yamaha Motor Europe N.V.(YME), located at Schiphol-Rijk in the Netherlands, we are looking for a CSR Intern in our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Department.

 

About the role
Building on Yamaha Motor Company’s (YMC) global sustainability approach, Yamaha Motor Europe (YME) has developed a sustainable strategy and is making continuous efforts to make sustainability an integral part of the business processes and work environment. To further strengthen the achievement of the targets and ambitions set, we have developed accompanying performance indicators and strategic priorities and initiatives to meet those. YME strategic priorities are to reduce emissions, drive energy and material efficiency, advance diversity and inclusion and engage distributors, dealers, and customers on sustainability matters.


The CSR department leads the European 4+ Sustainable Strategy, local initiatives, and ensures Environment – Social – Governance (ESG) compliance. In this role, you will gain comprehensive exposure to all ESG areas and relevant regulatory requirements, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), providing an accelerated pathway to understanding both regional and global sustainability issues.

 

Your responsibilities:
1. Environmental area 
     Support the team with data processes and data readiness for CSRD. Contribute to the preparation of documentation and reports to strengthen organizational transparency and accountability.
2. Social area
       Assist the CSR team in implementing a major Pan-European social project in 2026. 
       Participate in coordinating the social event agenda in 2026.
3. Governance area
        Attend regular meetings to track progress and provide input on governance initiatives.

 

During your internship, you will join the CSR organization and support the team on various ad-hoc projects. This position offers valuable insights into the operations of a large multinational company and established brand, specifically regarding its sustainability strategy. You will report directly to the CSR department manager.
As part of the team, you will assist the CSR department in supporting branches and subsidiaries throughout Europe and advising the business on required adjustments. By participating in a range of CSR initiatives, you will deepen your understanding of key sustainability topics, such as strategies that European organizations can employ to reduce their carbon footprint and positively impact communities and individuals. You will also work with designated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions, waste management, energy consumption, and more.

 

What do you bring?
•    A registered Bachelor’s or Master’s degree student, in the area of sustainability, business or other related field.
•    Must be available for 5 days a week, including at least 2 days a week in the office for a period of 6 months.
•    Excellent command of written and spoken professional English - other European languages are a plus.
•    Prior work experience is appreciated, but not required.
•    Good proficiency in MS Office.
•    This position is suitable for thesis/research project – this needs to be agreed in advance.
•    Can-do mentality, highly motivated self-starter, team player ready to learn.
•    Good time management, analytical and organizational skills, able to work across multiple projects and prioritize as needed.
•    Eager to work in a dynamic international environment with cross-functional teams.
•    Interested in sustainability and learning how to apply ESG developments to the business.
