For Yamaha Motor Europe N.V., located at Schiphol-Rijk in the Netherlands, we are looking for a Department manager Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) in our Finance and Accounting Division.
About the role:
You will lead the newly established FP&A department, currently comprising of two team members with plans for expansion. You have a pivotal role in enhancing the financial planning and analysis function, improving reporting accuracy, and supporting decision-making across the company’s complex organizational structure. Your focus as the FP&A Manager’s includes routine responsibilities such as consolidating and reporting EU group results to the parent company and coordinating financial and operational planning, executed at least annually. High-priority initiatives include the development of a rolling forecast process and the enhancement of analytics to provide deeper insights for strategic decisions.
You will drive the full utilization of OneStream, our newly migrated integrated EPM environment, for consolidation, reporting, and forecasting. In addition, the role emphasizes leveraging Power BI, SAP BW, and Cognos DWH to provide comprehensive financial insights. Collaborating with teams across the organization, you will develop innovative solutions and tailored reports that meet the evolving needs of the business.
Your responsibilities:
• Overseeing the FP&A function to provide timely, high-quality financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
• Maximizing the use of OneStream and Power BI for consolidation, analysis, and reporting to provide insights to the business.
• Developing new reporting formats and dashboards tailored to the needs of the business and its branch offices
• Identifying and analyzing financial risks, variances, and opportunities, delivering actionable insights and solutions.
• Leading and coaching team members within the FP&A department, fostering collaboration and cross-functional support.
• Ensuring the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of analytical reports and the preparation of new insights for decision-making.
• Operate in close collaboration with peer department managers within the F&A division, while providing strategic advice to the Division Manager, F&A, to advance and drive initiatives focused on enhancing the organization’s financial planning capabilities.
What do you bring?
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or relevant certifications such as CPA or CFA.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial planning tools, including OneStream, SAP, Power BI, and advanced Excel.
• Proven experience with ERP systems and financial transformations is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Strong English business language skills.
