For Yamaha Motor Europe N.V., located at Schiphol-Rijk in the Netherlands, we are looking for a Department Manager IT Infrastructure in our Information Systems (IS) Division.
About the role:
The Department Manager IT Infrastructure is accountable and responsible for overseeing the IT infrastructure to all Yamaha’s group companies, ensuring its stability, security, and performance. The Department Manager will lead a team of IT Professionals and work closely with other departments and should support group companies to use all business applications in an efficient and effective manner.
Your responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and define IT infrastructure strategy:
• Manage infrastructure operations:
• Define and manage investment and expense budgets
• Determine and guide necessary procurement and manager vendors:
• Manage YME’s cloud platform (AWS)
• Ensure Security and Compliance
• Oversee Service Desk & Support:
• Promote and implement Agile & DevOps practices:
• Lead Solution Architecture activities;
• Manage and develop teams,including recruitment activities;
• Communicate with senior leadership, business and IT stakeholders.
What do you bring?
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the field of Information Technology or related;
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in IT infrastructure management similar function;
• Strong knowledge of IT security, network architecture, server management, and cloud technologies;
• Proficiency in infrastructure monitoring and management tools;
• Experience with virtualization technologies;
• Proven experience in managing a team of (senior) IT Infrastructure Engineers of 30-40 people- (5 direct reports);
• Proven experience in working in an international environment, with different nationalities and cultures;
• Experience in project management;
• Ability to communicate on a professional level with stakeholders on an operational and tactical level;
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills;
• Proficient knowledge of the English language, both spoken and in writing, other languages are a plus.
