For Yamaha Motor Europe N.V.(YME), located at Schiphol-Rijk in the Netherlands, we are looking for a Finance Business Partner in our Finance & Accounting Division.
About the role:
The Finance Business Partner – European Branches (FBP) provides financial insight, analysis, and decision support to branch operations across Europe while being centrally located within the HQ Shared Service Center (SSC) operating under the YME F&A division. This role acts as a liaison between branch management & operations and YME F&A, ensuring sound financial management, consistent performance reporting, and compliance with corporate policies. The FBP enables data-driven business decisions, fosters financial accountability, and supports profitability growth with appropriate margin and cost control within the assigned European markets (branches).
Your responsibilities:
Business Partnering
• Partner with local management (Country Managers, Local operations, Sales) to drive performance and improve profitability for one or more European branches.
• Provide analytical support and challenge business reviews and decision-making processes based on financial grounds.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning
• Lead and coordinate the annual budget and (rolling) forecast process for assigned branches.
• Develop accurate, timely financial projections aligned with group targets/KPI’s.
• Support scenario planning and risk assessment.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
• Analyze monthly branch results (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, KPIs).
• Prepare management reports with variance analysis and commentary.
• Identify key performance drivers and propose corrective actions.
• Track and report profitability by product, customer, and branch level.
• Collaborate with the R2R Accountants team to ensure accurate financial closing.
Commercial Support
• Evaluate and model new commercial opportunities, pricing strategies, and dealer output.
• Support business case development for new market entries, capital investments, or process improvements.Perform cost structure and margin analysis to optimize commercial decisions.
Governance, Controls & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with Group Finance Policies, IFRS/local GAAP & Tax, and internal control frameworks and support external audits and internal control (incl. J-SOX) reviews.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Improvement
• Partner with other YME F&A teams (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, FP&A) to align processes and reporting standards. Contribute to process harmonization and system improvements.
• Active participation in finance transformation and BI tool implementation projects initiated by YME F&A.
Technical Competencies
• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
• Managerial Accounting & Reporting
• Business Case Modeling (Excel/Power BI/Other)
• ERP proficiency (SAP / Dynamics 365 / Other ERP)
• Understanding of taxes, transfer pricing, and intercompany transactions
• Multi-currency and multi-entity requirements.
What do you bring?
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
• Professional qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, CPA, RA, RC) preferred.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, Controlling, or Finance Business Partnering.
• Previous experience in shared service center (SSC)/centralized finance environment required
• Experience in wholesale, distribution, or manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
• Fluency in English required; other European languages beneficial.
