Job Purpose
You are part of the Internal Audit Division which is responsible for Internal audit at Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. (YME). Working with your manager, you will help to execute the YME- Internal Audit Plan and support the execution of J-Sox testing. You will cooperate with Internal Audit of YMC at selected audits. The Internal Audit plan contains a mix of compliance, IT, Financial and Operational Audits and consultancy assignments. This role is set to focus on IT and Operational audits.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Internal Audit
You are responsible for executing YMC’s annual (internal) audit plan for Project Reviews, Compliance Reviews, IT and Operational Audits as well as coordinating all related activities within YME and its subsidiaries/branches. This also includes:
• Executing IT audits (including application controls and system report testing) within the YME group (YME HO, IWL, YMFF and MBK) this entails risk assessments, audit programs, working papers and draft reporting, and supervising consultants and coordinating audit and J-SOX IT activities with the External auditors.
• Leading the J-SOX design and testing review activities working extensively with control owners, with YMC J-SOX team and other Yamaha Internal Audit departments to learn and apply best practices. You also coordinate the activities of the external auditor
• Drafting audit reports that are easily describe complex issues in short and concise manner to be understood by different levels in the organisation, whilst a report should inspire, motivate management to act and not to be forgotten
• Developing and updating Operational audit programs, with a deep understanding of risks within Yamaha
• Independently perform Operational Audits and Compliance Reviews, coordinating between the auditee, external auditors, YMC auditors, YME HO Directors and the Internal Audit Division
• Able to quickly grasp new type of audit objects such as Financial Services, HSE, Manufacturing, transfer pricing, GDPR and STC audits
• You are contributing on Data Analytics (tools and analysis) which will play a key role in ensuring that Internal Audit is focusing on the right processes and that Internal Audit is efficient in its resources
2. Various tasks within the scope of Internal Audit
• Contributing in projects (such as SAP, Stock/Inventory and Costing projects), and therefore you possess strong project management and interpersonal skills, makes sound decisions, exhibiting initiative.
• General support to the Internal Audit Division manager, such as presentations to local and senior management, invoice review, annual planning, strategy sessions with internal parties, developing data analytics and various ad hoc tasks such as mentoring junior Internal Audit & Compliance staff, and IIA standard implementation. You are able to replace the Division Manager in case of his absence.
Job context /Organisation chart
You will report to the Internal Audit Division Manager who reports to the Corporate Director, MCM and YMC Internal Audit. You will need to build strong relationships with and work closely alongside all Divisions and departments of YME as well as regular contact with YMC and the YME subsidiaries/branches and occasional communication with outside contacts. You are expected to work independently. For these tasks you will bring added value through strategic, conceptual and analytic thinking as well as through insight in the business (culture).
Requirements
Business experience 7+ years, Internal Audit experience 5+ years
1. Extensive experience in IT audit (preferably in AS400 environment, on IT General Controls, IT security, Change Management, Application security, Network operations), CISA certified
2. Operational Auditing /SOX (including application controls testing)
3. Bachelor or Master degree in Auditing, Accounting or Business Administration
4. Certified auditor, CIA, RE, CISA or comparable
5. Be able to further develop audit programs and assist in implementation of Internal Audit quality standards (IIA based)
6. Data analytics, be able to further develop audit programs and assist in implementation of Internal Audit quality standards (IIA based)
7. Knowledge of control frameworks and standards such as COSO, COBIT, ISO 27000 family
