For Yamaha Motor Europe N.V.(YME), located at Schiphol-Rijk in the Netherlands, we are looking for an enthusiastic, fulltime L&D Program Specialist Sales in our Network Training & Development Division. This division runs the Yamaha Motor Academy and is responsible for education (for Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Service, Parts & Accessories) of our retail network in Europe. It is our mission to give our dealers a competitive advantage in their marketplace, enabling them to deliver outstanding Customer Experiences and building stronger, more profitable businesses.
About the role:
As a member of the Program Development team, you will strengthen the skills and knowledge of around 2,500 dealers across Europe by developing engaging learning journeys for Sales, Marketing and Business Management for the various product groups that are being distributed and retailed in the European marketplace.
You develop and deliver high-quality learning programs applied to real-life business situations, designed to advance dealers’ skills in an engaging and fun way. Our online and offline courses are accessible and highly engaging, utilizing the latest education methodologies and technologies to ensure that each learning journey has a great mix of on-the-job learning, entertaining e-learnings, social and cooperative interactions as well as more conventional workshops.
All programs and courses are released in 20 languages. In close collaboration with the various stakeholders within our company, you will understand the training needs that support our dealers’ sales performance and customer experience, translating these needs into engaging and impactful programs. This includes developing e-learnings, instructor-led trainings, and organizing and executing Train-the-Trainer (TTT) sessions to ensure a consistent and high-quality training delivery throughout Europe. In support to division management, you will also assist with defining, developing and rolling out the European strategy for education regarding Yamaha Sales & Business retail operations.
Your responsibilities:
- Develop impactful, high-quality programs with captivating content and efficient learning, while managing your own budget for program development.
- Organize trainings (TTT-format) according to the annual training schedule and equip other trainers with all the necessary tools and materials for local training sessions.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and external partners to create storyboards, oversee instructional design, manage assessments and translations, and leverage innovative learning methodologies and technologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage partnerships with L&D providers
- Assist in defining and developing European L&D strategy / Mid-Term Plan of the Yamaha Motor Academy for Sales & Business operations.
- Support the L&D Operations Team in defining national implementation and yearly execution plans for Sales, Marketing & Business Management programs and courses.
- Together with the L&D Operations Team, ensure that the Sales, Marketing & Business Management programs & courses in our Learning Experience Platform (LXP) are correctly set-up, maintained and developed.
- In collaboration with the L&D Operations team,analyze learning outcomes and KPIs, provide actionable insights to improve programs, support stakeholders with reporting and recommendations, and measure training effectiveness and business impact across Europe.
- As a Yamaha Motor Academy ambassador, promote the value of learning and Yamaha’s direction for Europe - train, guide and support the distributors as needed.
What do you bring?
- At least higher vocational level (PTH- Automotive, or Automotive engineering supplemented with a didactical testimonial);
- 3 years relevant experience in a similar role, or as retail Sales Advisor/Sales Manager, preferably in the Motorcycle/Automotive or Marine industry;
- Good understanding of learning principles, with a proven track record and how to apply them in a dynamic learning environment using the latest didactic methodologies and technologies experience with e-learning development and instructional design is a real asset;
- Working knowledge in latest learning management systems or learning experience platforms;
- Ability to work with authoring tools and MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint);
- Ability to lead and guide a variety of teams from different cultures across Europe;
- Organizational and time management skills to successfully manage timelines with minimal supervision;
- Good communication & presentation skills on business level in English verbally and in writing, preferably also Dutch;
- Affinity with our products and our business is a real advantage;
- Flexible and eager to learn;
- Flexible attitude towards working hours and prepared to travel abroad;
- Driving license B.
