For Yamaha Motor Europe N.V., located at Schiphol-Rijk in the Netherlands, we are looking  for a full-time L&D Program Specialist Technical in our Network Training and Development Division. 

 

 

The Yamaha Motor Academy is responsible for retail operation education (Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Service, Parts & Accessories) and provides for all training programs and courses in 18 languages to around 3,000 dealers across Europe. To give our dealers a competitive advantage in their marketplace, enabling them to provide the best Customer Experience as well as running a profitable business, the Yamaha Motor Academy offers a blended learning journey composed by business and technical trainings applied to real-life business situations, designed to advance dealers’ skills in an engaging and fun way. The online and offline courses of the Yamaha Motor Academy are accessible and highly engaging. Based on the latest education methodologies and technologies, our courses ensure that each learning journey has a great mix of on-the-job learning, entertaining e-learnings, social and cooperative interactions as well as more conventional workshops. 
YME works with a state-of-art Learning Experience Platform (LXP) from Docebo, custom-fit for YME purposes.

 

About the role:
As a key member of our Learning & Development team, the L&D Program Specialist Technical will design and develop programs and courses for our retail Dealer Service Technicians and workshops across Europe for the various product groups that are being distributed and retailed in the European marketplace (Motorcycles/Scooters, Outboard Engines, Rigging Parts, Water Vehicles, ATVs, SSVs, Golf Cars and eBikes). You will identify Dealer training needs and create engaging, impactful programs to enhance their skills, enabling quicker, higher-quality services and repairs, leading to increased customer satisfaction and improved After Sales turnover and Dealer profitability.

You will develop e-learnings, instructor-led trainings, and organize and execute Train-the-Trainer (TTT) sessions to ensure consistent, high-quality training delivery by our Trainer teams throughout Europe. Additionally, you will support division management in defining, developing, and rolling out the European strategy for Yamaha Service retail operations education.

As a product specialist for our brand, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our training programs are top-notch.

 

Principal accountabilities:
•    Collaborate with stakeholders and agencies to develop high-quality, impactful programs with captivating content and efficient learning journeys, harmonized for the entire European market. You will manage your own budget for program development.
•    Organize TTT-format trainings according to the annual schedule and equip trainers with the necessary tools and materials for local training sessions.
•    Develop, build and distribute standardized training packages, e-learnings, procedure guides, manuals, hardware and techniques.
•    Assist in defining and developing European Learning & Development (L&D) strategy / Mid-Term Plan of the Yamaha Motor Academy for (Service) Technical programs & courses.
•    Support the L&D Operations Team in defining national implementation and yearly execution plans.
•    Monitor learner engagement, progress, and KPIs, and follow up as needed.
•    Participate in information gathering activities at factories to collect the best possible information for technical training development.
•    Ensure that the Technical programs and courses in our Learning Experience Platform (Docebo) are correctly set up, maintained, and developed in collaboration with the L&D Operations Team.
•    As a Yamaha Motor Academy ambassador, promote and optimize Yamaha’s direction for Europe, but also as part of a global team - train, guide and support the distributors where required.

What do you bring?
•    At least secondary vocational education level - higher vocational education level is preferred (PTH- Automotive, or Automotive engineering supplemented with a didactical testimonial);
•    Minimum of 3 years relevant experience as retail Service Advisor/ Master Technician or comparable role in the Motorcycle/Automotive/Marine industry;
•    Affinity with and knowledge of our products and our business;
•    Strong understanding of technical training needs and the ability to translate these into effective training programs;
•    Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs, including eLearning and instructor-led formats; - Experience with authoring tools  & learning management systems are considered as a real advantage;
•    Ability to lead, guide and work collaboratively with a variety of teams from different cultures across Europe;
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, result driven, enthusiastic, pro-active, hands on and well organized;
•    Proficient in both spoken and written English;
•    Flexible and eager to learn;
•    Flexible attitude towards working hours and prepared to travel abroad.
