Ever since our founder, Genichi Kawakami, established Yamaha Motor, it is our mission to give to ALL our customers KANDO. Not only with our products, but also to our employees. KANDO is a Japanese word to express the feeling of deep satisfaction and excitement you get when you encounter something of exceptional value, quality, and performance.
You have the opportunity to be part of the Yamaha family.
For Yamaha Motor Europe N.V.(YME), located at Schiphol-Rijk in the Netherlands, we are looking for a LXP Application Specialist in our Network Training & Development Division.
About the role:
As a key member of the Network Training & Development Division, you play a central role in ensuring that our Learning Experience Platform (LXP) functions smoothly, effectively, and with a strong focus on the learner experience. You use your technical expertise to support daily operations, optimize system performance, and ensure that the platform remains user friendly, reliable, and aligned with our learning strategy.
In this role, you configure, maintain, and enhance the LXP and its related applications. You work across the full lifecycle of system management—from programming and integrations to upgrades, troubleshooting, and end user support. When issues arise, you ensure accurate diagnosis, timely resolution, and clear communication to keep teaching, learning, and classroom operations running smoothly.
You collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT operations and software engineering to translate business needs into technical solutions. This includes enhancing user journeys across the European market, implementing changes, optimizing workflows and improving system integrations. Your understanding of LXP configuration, data integrity, course setup, and reporting enables you to build an efficient and scalable digital learning environment.
Beyond the technical ownership of the LXP, you support the Program Development team by enabling effective, technology enhanced learning experiences. You help ensure that courses function seamlessly within the platform, that data and reporting structures support insight driven decisions, and that the overall learning ecosystem remains robust and future focused.
Your responsibilities:
• Own the overall configuration, functionality, performance, and security of the YME LXP and related applications.
• Manage the daily technical and functional operation of the LXP, ensuring a smooth, engaging learner experience across Europe.
• Maintain user friendly, learner centric environments including classrooms, integrations, data systems, and reporting flows.
• Support course setup and ensure that learning content functions effectively within the platform.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement and optimize LXP related processes and activities.
• Develop and maintain data and system integrations between the LXP and other platforms.
• Define and uphold standards to ensure data integrity and best practices across all supported technologies.
• Work with vendors and internal partners to troubleshoot and resolve platform issues.
• Assist with technical specifications, testing, and quality assurance of system enhancements.
• Support administrative teams by improving efficiency and reducing effort in key workflows.
• Provide reliable performance data, insights, and KPIs to measure and improve training effectiveness.
• Create and maintain documentation to support system operation and knowledge management.
• Analyze operational processes and user needs to identify improvements and system requirements.
• Manage the creation and availability of LXP sites.
• Represent Yamaha Motor Academy as an ambassador, supporting and guiding European distributors and contributing to global initiatives.
What do you bring?
• Higher vocational education in Information/Instructional Technology, or a related field.
• A strong passion for education and learning technology, and the belief that technology can make learning more effective and enjoyable.
• Proven experience in designing and maintaining Learning Management or Learning Experience Platforms (LMS/LXP).
• Experience loading courses; skills in eLearning development are a significant plus.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT application programming, data/system integration, analysis, project management, or instructional technology management.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time, resources, and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical ability to identify KPIs, conduct program analysis, and develop reports and management dashboards.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; proactive, hands on, and results driven mindset.
• Ability to work independently with strong initiative and ownership.
• Demonstrated problem solving, collaboration, and responsibility, supported by a positive attitude.
• Excellent command of English, spoken and written.
• Flexible, eager to learn, and comfortable taking on new challenges.
• Affinity with Yamaha products and business is an advantage.
