For Yamaha Motor Europe N.V.(YME), located at Schiphol-Rijk in the Netherlands, we are looking for a Product Regulation Coordinator in our LM Quality Assurance & Product Regulation Division.

 

About the role: 
As a Product Regulation Coordinator, continuously monitoring European and local product regulatory trends and acting as the primary liaison with external authorities and industry organizations to ensure agile compliance capabilities across the YAMAHA MOTOR European headquarters.

 

Track developments in European product related legislations, develop regulatory interpretations, and lead coordination with internal stakeholders to establish response flexible frameworks that enable each functional teams to comply appropriately.

 

Clarify the company’s position on new or revised product regulations and conduct stakeholder alignment and advocacy with external organizations as needed.

 

Maintain ongoing communication with global headquarters, European offices, and regional branches to ensure effective governance structures that support continuous compliance with evolving product regulations.

 

Your responsibilities:
•    Framework Development: Build flexible compliance frameworks to ensure all European products and company governance meet evolving EU and domestic regulations.
•    External Relations: Build and maintain strategic partnerships with authorities and industry bodies to stay ahead of regulatory trends for existing and new products.
•    Advocacy & Influence: Represent company interests by providing feedback on draft legislation and industry-wide policy stances.
•    Policy & Strategy: Coordinate policies and procedures with Japan HQ and Internal business unit for compliance with product laws. This includes identifying the impact of legislation and proposed legislation on your products and systems and defining countermeasures.
•    Knowledge Sharing: Keep stakeholders informed on regulatory trends; provide data-driven insights to leadership when large investments or structural changes are required.
•    Headquarters Coordination: Collaborate with the Japan HQ and European departments to manage the regional compliance plan and lead task forces as needed.
•    Standardization: Establish and maintain unified product regulation guidelines across Yamaha Motor Europe and Japan HQ to ensure consistent operations and awareness.

 

What do you bring?
•    Minimum 5 years in Product Development and/or Regulation Homologation
•    Experience in new regulation such as Electrical technology, communication technology and/or EPR is desirable
•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering
•    Deep understanding of product design and operational compliance with relevant laws
•    Experience as a National expert in IEC, ISO, CEN/CLC and/or related laws or a background in government relations
•    Functional knowledge in New Product Development 
•    A team player who has the ability to analyse regulatory trends calmly and lead cross-functional initiatives
•    Proven ability to work within global teams and focus on the “big picture” alongside technical details
•    Strong presentation and interpersonal skills for interacting with internal and external partners
•    Fluent in English (written and spoken). Proficiency in Dutch or other European language is a distinct advantage.
